Morvero vs Microsoft Clarity
Short version: these are complements more than competitors. Clarity is outstanding free observation — session replay, heatmaps, rage-click detection — for a website. Morvero is the loop: collect feedback, cluster it with AI, draft the backlog, push tickets to Jira, and judge every app in the portfolio. Many teams should run both.
Comparison reflects both products' public state as of mid-2026; Clarity facts are linked to their sources. Corrections welcome: hello@morvero.com.
What Clarity does brilliantly — for free
- Microsoft Clarity records sessions (with 90-day retention), renders five kinds of heatmaps, detects rage clicks and dead clicks, and summarizes sessions with AI — at $0, with no paid tier at all.
- If your question is "what are users doing on this page?", Clarity answers it with more visual depth than Morvero does, for free. Use it for that.
Where Clarity stops
- No feedback collection — no rating widget, no NPS, no comments; Microsoft points to third-party integrations for the "why" behind the tapes (Clarity blog).
- No portfolio concept — projects are independent sites; there is no cross-app scorecard, org rollup, or executive report.
- No workflow — no triage inbox, statuses, backlog, or Jira/Azure DevOps push. Observation ends at observation.
- Cookies and consent are now a real cost — Clarity's tracking cookies are non-essential under GDPR/ePrivacy, and Microsoft began enforcing consent signals for EEA/UK/Switzerland traffic on 31 Oct 2025; without a consent signal Clarity degrades to a restricted mode (Microsoft Learn, Usercentrics).
- Employee-facing apps in the EU — session replay of employees is a works-council conversation regardless of consent banners.
What Morvero adds
- The closed loop: in-product ratings, NPS and comments (with opt-in screenshots and scrubbed form context) → AI theme clustering → drafted backlog items with testable acceptance criteria → human accept/reject → Jira or Azure DevOps tickets with cited user evidence.
- The portfolio verdict: a usage × sentiment quadrant (fund / fix / niche / retire), tribe rollups, movers, and a printable board report across every internal app — not one site at a time.
- Cookieless, anonymous by design: random local IDs, no fingerprinting, DNT/GPC respected, k-anonymity floors on cohorts — no consent-mode integration project and no restricted-mode data degradation in the EU.
- AI-agent pilot scorecards and an MCP server for coding agents (create product → install →
verify_install) — Clarity has neither.
Capability comparison

| Rage/dead-click detection | Yes | No |
| Feedback, ratings, NPS | No | Yes — native widget + REST API |
| Triage, backlog, Jira/Azure DevOps | No | Yes — with AI-drafted acceptance criteria and cited evidence |
| Portfolio scorecard & board report | No — independent projects | Yes — the core of the product |
| Cookies / consent burden (EEA) | Consent signal required since Oct 2025 | None — cookieless and anonymous by design |
| AI-agent pilot measurement | No | Yes — success, escalation, cost per completed task |
| MCP server for coding agents | No | Yes — install + verify loop included |
| Price | Free (no paid tier) | Free → $99/mo (15 products) → $499/mo (50) → from $15K/yr, flat per portfolio |
Where Morvero honestly falls short
- If all you want is to watch what users do on one site, Clarity is deeper and free. Morvero's Starter tier doesn't try to beat that — it's the on-ramp to the feedback loop and the portfolio view.
- No session replay or heatmaps, ever — replaying employees' sessions would contradict the anonymous-by-design position.
- Morvero is a young product from a small team: security controls are documented publicly, but there is no SOC 2 certification yet.
Bottom line: Clarity gives you free session tapes of one website; Morvero closes the loop — feedback, AI-drafted backlog, Jira, and a fund-or-retire verdict across every internal app — cookieless, with no consent-mode homework. Run Clarity for replay where it's appropriate, and Morvero for the loop and the verdict.
